As a new shooter to airguns I wonder how often you need to clean the barrel of a CO2 rifle. I purchased a Hammerli 850 and have not cleaned it through six 88 gram cartridges. Also I am used to cleaning from the receiver to the bore but the 850 does not have enough room at the receiver to fit a pull through flexible cleaning rod. Although it is still accurate is there a standard cleaning schedule and/or method I should be aware of?

There is no reason to ever clean the barrel or action of an airgun unless it looses accuracy. Just keep shooting.
When cleaning time does come, the 850 AirMagnum will not be easy. You will have to remove the barrel. The proper way to clean a steel airgun barrel is with JB Non-Embedding Bore Cleaning Compound that Pyramyd Air sells. Load up a brass brush and run it the full length of the barrel 20 times in both directions. Then clean out the residue and the barrel will be good as new. This is the same procedure top benchrest competitors follow and it works.
Do not use a flexible cleaning rod on this airgun, as it may damage the crown.

Crosman 2240 from PA , is that a strong .22 cal pistol, and I might send it to a guy I saw oon you tube who modifies Co2 guns and he says his longer barrels makes his 2240 go about 550 to 600 fps w/ accuracy still great. But my queston is , is thecrosman 2240 .22 cal strong enough as is? Hope to hear from u.

The Crosman 2240 is a remarkable air pistol. I found mine to be more accurate than either a Smith & Wesson 78G or a Crosman mark I. I wrote about that on the blog. The 2240 is also very powerful. Longer barrels will increase the power, but try it just as it comes from the box, first.

how do you fixe the scope when you see your front barell through the scope and the cross hair is to the far rigth , the scope is mounted on a 177 cal crossman rifle and the scope is a scp-1254l1 HELP!!
