Issue #51 – An interview with Robert Beeman, founder of Beeman Precision Airguns: Part 1
Dr. Robert Beeman changed airgunning in America more than any other person. If he hadn’t started Beeman Precision Airguns, this entire site wouldn’t exist and most airgun dealers, including Pyramyd Air, might not have come to be. His interest wasn’t just to start a business. He had a personal love for airguns, and he wanted to share that with others by importing and selling the best the world had to offer.
Listen as Robert talks about how he and his wife, Toshiko, founded the company, learned the ropes of airgun distribution, met with the European manufacturers, designed guns, got his airguns into gun stores…and built one of the most successful airgun importation and distribution networks in the world.

Hi Tom, Unfortunately your original posting on the BSF-55N no longer allows comments to be posted. So I’ll have to try using one of your latest posts. I have an original BSF-55N purchased in the 70’s from ARH. It still shoots but the breech seal is gone, and the piston seal is probably close. Are you aware of anyone still around that either works on these that has either replacement or aftermarket seals that might be available? Unfortunately, the leather seals weren’t made to last forever. Thanks for any help. Wayne
Wayne,
I went to the blog on the BSF 55N and it still does accept comments. But why didn’t you just comment on the current page of the blog? There are no rules about sticking to the topic of the day.
Here is the blog on the 55N:

And here is where I show how to make leather piston seals:

In the future, please address all questions like this to the current blog.
Tom
I’ve spent most of my life is sales and advertising, I just have to say this man is a marketing genius. He went completely out of the box with his approach to marketing his product. And the only approach that would have worked at that time. The distributors and the dealers would have turned him away, and he made them seek him out . Impressive !!
