CO2 rifles and pistols have been around for many decades. They use carbon dioxide in self-contained cartridges. In the beginning, CO2 came in 8-gram cartridges. Today, CO2 comes in 12-gram and 88-gram sizes. There are even bulk-fill CO2 containers that are larger and more economical.
